Marquis Daniels Return Could be the Answer for the Celtics

I'll be the 1st to admit the Celtics are not the best team in the East this season. They cannot win games consistently against elite teams. They have gone 0-4 against the Hawks this year and with K.G. back in the line-up they still lost to Orlando, Atlanta, and the Lakers last week. With the trade deadline approaching I'm hearing a lot of chatter about a trade involving Ray Allen. If Ainge decides to part ways with Allen he best be getting a Monta Ellis type player in return with a good contract to go with. Although, If a trade doesn't go through I feel the C's still have a great shot at the Championship. A big contributor off the bench will be Marquis Daniels.

Coach Rivers and the team are looking forward to getting a healthy Marquis Daniels back into the line-up. He played in 19 games to start the season before his injury and averaged 5.7 pts, 2.1 Assists. He is shooting 46% from the field and hardly ever turns the ball over. Daniels plays good defense and the Celts will be looking for Daniels to provide solid outings night in and night out. His surgically repaired left thumb should be as good as new when he comes back. Don't be surprised with the emergence of a healthy Tony Allen that these two are strong contributors on both ends of the court down the stretch.

3Rd--Welker had an incredible season. 123 receptions (2nd most all-time in a season) 1,348 total yards, 11 yards per catch, 96.3 yards a game. WOW IMPRESSIVE!! Yet, that was Welker Before he shredded his knee. The biggest question lingering over Welker is when will he be back in Full Effect and will he ever produce the same numbers again? We've seen Brady come back this year and make the Pro Bowl. That's got to be great motivation for Welker. Yet, I don't see him Catching 100 passes and Averaging a 1st down every pass in years to come. He was that Good but he has a long road ahead of him. A road that says well never see the same Welker again. I wish him the best of Luck.

2Nd--Kevin Garnett's knee gets the #2 Spot because his knee is worth a Championship Ring. If he was present in last years playoffs the Celts would have won the NBA Championship. No Doubt About It. That would have made it twice in a row. His dominance doesn't compare to that of anyone in the league. KG does it ALL. This season when he play's the Celtics almost NEVER lose and when he doesn't their a .500 team. As a 13 year Veteran he's the best teammate in the NBA.



1St-- Tom Brady the UBER Famous QB, the Captain of the all Mighty New England Patriots. His knee injury so significant the Patriots Dynasty has not been the same since. The knee that made Matt Cassell Famous. The knee that was questioned week in and week out by the media and fans. After all the adversity Brady put up some solid numbers this season. 28 Td's (tied for 2nd most of career) and 13 INT's (Brady's Career Avg). He peaked in 2007 and is slowly declining. It took a ACL, MCL tear to turn 1 of the Best of All-time into a Top 5 QB in the league. The proof came after 10 year Veteran Brady was knocked out of the playoffs by the Ravens and Rookie Mark Sanchez got the Wins in Cincinnati and San Diego. Tom Brady is suppose to be playing in Indy for the AFC Championship yet it's Sanchez. The week 2 loss to the Jets must have been a strong motivator to Brady's confidence this year. Although, the tables are turned and it's New York again on the other side.

Buehrle's Perfect Game is a gem

1st perfect game. 2nd no-hitter. Mark Buehrle is a force to be reckon with and is one of the most underrated Southpaws in the big leagues. In his ten year career he has pitched at least 200 innings a year and in 7 of those years has 100+ strikeouts. He has double-digits wins every year since 2001 and a winning record in every year but one.
I have always thought when a pitcher throws a no-hitter he is a special player. After the catch wendy nix made stealing a homerun from Gabe Kapler viewers realized they were seeing history in the making. A great day for baseball a great day for all.

Watson Chokes at British Open

"Where's the hole"?

After Tom Watson missed this 8 foot putt that came up 4 feet short on the 18th hole that cost him the major, I knew it was over for Watson. He would have won his 10th major at an unbelievable 59 years old that would have made him the oldest winner of a major by more than a decade. If Watson had hit that putt the world would be a better place.
Old Old men from across the world would dust off those old clubs and see too if they could feel a bit younger.

Stewart Cink who won his first major, officially solidified himself as one of the best American golfers in the game today. He does it all. When he hit the back 9 on Sunday he knew he had a legitimate shot at winning. No one was making putts and it took only one guy to make some birdies to take down Watson.
